This dress is by Cristina & Jan Barboglio, a talented sister team of fashion designers who designed really unique clothing in the 1980's and 90's. We have sold several of their pieces and are always impressed with the quality and design!
This two piece strapless peplum dress is so well made and is in a crisp red and white floral cotton print. The strapless top has a corset style bustier and is nicely double lined. The top is also ruched at the sides which makes the fabric appear draped inthe center. There is a metal zipper down the center back seam with a hook and eye for closure.
The skirt is lined and is a pencil style with a back slit. The skirt has an underlayer of white tulle, to give some volume. The top two layers of the skirt are the same lined fabric with one layer longer than the other. The waistband is lined with interfacing, so it is much thicker than the rest of the fabric of the skirt. The skirt has a metal zipper and a hook and eye closure down the center back seam.
